Not upset, just not sure how this would have much impact on spam. I don't think much of the crap I get has 'oem' in it...

> Sorry if i've upset anyone Nah, you certainly didn't upset me, I just looked at the pattern and thought... "What tha?" Why didn't you just add all of the patterns together and "Or" them with the pipe (|) metacharacter? Was there a reason for that?

This is part of a series which catch spammer flocks, I didn't post it to be clever it's used with others as a way of tracking junk. It's part of a series that together rids (my) mailbox of over 50% of the junk. If you use a propper client like kmail you'll find it has the ability to scan your mail with regex - i've also used them in a perl script on my mailbox too. Sorry if i've upset anyone, I thought the purpose of this site was to be useful to people and after all this type of thing is perfect for new-comers to regex to experiment with.
