I want modify this RE for Combination of various string...
ie : for MDY, MDDYYYY,MDYYYY....etc..How can I do it?
can u help me to make this ?
Can I go length-wise diffrent RE ?
means: for stringLength(8) = your given RE
for stringLength(7) = modified this RE to recognize only 7 digit string .
similarly do the modification upto 3 digit string .. which validate and identify Data formats in MMDDYYYY format ......
can u Guide me How I can do it?

Can you force 8 digits only? 222005 will pass your expression.
